With summer nearly over (for break purposes), it’s definitely time to start thinking about your first day back to school. In fact, it’s probably best to get a strategy together if you’re going to make this your best year socially. So, here are a few general tips.
Have A Plan
Most people go back to school the first day excited and ready to make it a completely new year. They vow to be more popular, get a date, get better grades, etc. Then, by the third week in September, they’re back to the old (bad) habits.
That’s why it’s important to set goals and have a real plan. For example, if you want to get a date, then set a deadline with some concrete goals. If you want to get fit, then make sure to make a routine, etc.
Use This Rare Chance
Getting to start over after three months off is very rare socially. Adults can’t take a few months off work and come back a different person. You have a rare chance to start over. Take advantage of it!
Try to change your attitude, your body language, and even your looks. Be more confident and laid back. If you have the money, try to reinvent your wardrobe. If you have a plan and the right attitude, you can really reinvent yourself and get away with it.
Don’t Worry About the Past
Some people think they’re bound by their past reputation and actions. And, in many ways, they are. However, as the last section mentions, after three months, you really have a good chance to start over.
It’s not perfect and you can’t live down everything you’ve done. But, if you’re a bit of a loser who hasn’t always been the coolest, that three month break is long enough to make people forget most of it.
But, that’s only the case if you come back being totally different. So, don’t worry about the past, just focus on excellence in the present.
