I recently moved from Cleveland to Columbus Ohio. When I cleaned out my house, I couldn’t believe how much absolute junk my family and I had accumulated. It wasn’t good stuff that I had too much of that I’m calling junk. Nope. It was stuff I didn’t need and didn’t even want! Genuine junk!
Chances are you have a lot of accumulated stuff that you never use anymore. It could be old electronic devices, those weights collecting dust, dresses you haven’t worn since 2009, etc. What you may not want, there are people out there who would love to have it. However, they may not be able to afford it.
Why not donate some of your used items? Some people suffer from post Christmas letdown. It’s hard to keep up the spirit of the season on December 26th and many people feel emotionally let down. Well, one way to keep the Christmas spirit of goodwill and joy is to do charity.
So, giving away some of your excess material goods will actually make you feel much better. Giving stuff away and helping others feels awesome. In addition, de-cluttering your life a little can also have serious mental health benefits.
So, I recommend you go through your stuff and find what you don’t use anymore. Then, give it away to needy friends or charitable organizations like Goodwill or Volunteers of America. Start giving! You’ll feel great and help others.
