We often get asked certain questions, so we thought we would answer some of the common ones here.
Popularity? Isn’t That Shallow?
Human beings are social animals. In other words, we like to be liked. Popularity is essentially being liked by a lot of people. As long as you’re not becoming popular to bully others, then there’s absolutely nothing morally wrong with wanting to be more popular. You’re just wanting what everyone else wants. Lots of people are popular. You might as well be one of them! Why should they have all the fun?
Does It Matter If I’m Popular?
It depends. Being popular, especially if it means friends and dates, is pretty fun. Plus, one study showed that being popular in high school meant making more money later in life. So, being popular in high school seems to have present and future advantages. Why not at least try to be more popular?
I’m (fat, short, shy, ugly, etc.), Can I Really Be Popular?
Lots of people who aren’t “perfect” achieve popularity all the time. Being tall, skinny, and beautiful are certainly admired traits. But, tall skinny beautiful people aren’t guaranteed popularity. Also, people who are supposedly fat, short, ugly, etc. can become popular too. They may have to work a little harder, but it’s not impossible. That’s why we exist: to help the unpopular learn the tips to become more popular.
Why Don’t I Have A Boy/Girlfriend?
When looking for someone to date, the rules are fairly clear. Guys typically like girls who they find pretty and are open to dating. Girls like guys who are confident and powerful (in whatever setting). While there are exceptions, those are the basic rules. If you’re a single guy, try to be more confident and in charge. If you’re a single girl, try to make yourself look prettier and be more open to interaction with guys.
