Your mom and dad might be accustomed to using the springtime to de-clutter the house and do chores around the yard. This is called spring cleaning and it’s a popular activity because after a long winter of not doing much activity, the warm weather is a good time to get moving and clean things up.
You might have had a rough winter at school, at home, or at work. Maybe you feel like your life is moving in the wrong direction. Whatever is going on, maybe you need a little spring cleaning for your life.
Every teen has problems and drama. And, the stress of being a teen can be unbearable at times. Your brain and body are changing and you still have to put up with the drama of high school. Sometimes you probably feel like it’s all too much.
Spring might be a good time to evaluate your life and see where you’re going. It also might be a good time to throw out the things that aren’t doing you any good. What behaviors are you doing that aren’t good for you? Do you have friends who bring you down? Do you play too many video games and accomplish nothing?
It is probably a good time to start thinking about getting your life together. Although no one ever gets it all together, you’re never too young to try. Today, why not sit down by yourself and write down a few of your goals? Then, think about life changes you can make to achieve those goals. Some of the changes might be difficult, but in the end, they are worth it if they make you the person you want to be.
So, today start spring cleaning your life. Be the best person you can be. Sometimes that means leaving old behaviors, and, occasionally, negative people, behind.
